apple tree blossoms

9x12cm film, äppelträd
this is a picture shot in may 2011, a day when our apple tree had started to bloom. i had the opportunity to take care of a big format sinar camera for four months that spring. the camera takes 9x12 negatives and the quality is incredible.  i wish i'd still have that camera, perhaps i'll be able to borrow it one day. i regret a little bit that i didn't shoot more landscapes with it. well perhaps one day..

i'm really looking forward to spring. the sun is shining today and the snow is slowly metling. clouds are running over the sky. spent the weekend on a vintage couch (my grandma's house is full of old furnitures and heirlooms). photographed, baked bread, ate good food and went to a huge secondhand store.

on sunday morning i went up early, ate breakfast, got dressed and then went to the railwaystation. i waited for fifteen minutes and then after what seemed to be a short lifetime the train arrived. i jumped on, went to car number one and found my love seated next to a window. we hadn't seen each other in almost two weeks and words cannot describe how happy i was when i saw him that morning. lot's of hugs and kisses, sunlight through the window and people staring. i don't care, we don't care. it felt like it was just him and i on the train, nobody else.

i've photographed a roll of film and i should develope it real soon. the photographs are shot altrhough out february, wintertime forest, selfportraits and other portraits. hope everyone had a just as blissful weekend as i had.

my gosh, clara, you made me speechless. that's probably the best comments i've ever recieved. i sometimes read both nirrimi's and julia's blogs, in my opinions they're both nice blogs and especially nirrimi is a great photographer, and the fact that you just said that you think my photographs are better than theirs gives me this bubbly feeling in my gut. thank you heaps dearest clara! you made my day.
